I create oil paintings for interiors in Saint Petersburg. I especially enjoy painting animals — their movement, strength and character. Large canvases featuring elephants are a central part of my practice.

My path in painting

I trained as a teacher of painting and world art history. The Saint Petersburg artist Alexander Borkov became my mentor in painting.

I am inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s expressiveness and Nicholas Roerich’s monumental use of colour. I am drawn to expressive painting, while also thinking about the space in which a painting will live.

A human figure and a cat beneath a spreading golden tree. A circle of sunlight fills the composition with yellow light.

A painting in your space

I have original works in medium and large formats, starting at 90 × 70 cm. Get in touch to find out the dimensions and availability of a painting you like.

I also paint to commission, choosing a palette and size to suit your interior. Tell me about your space, the subject you have in mind and the format, and we can discuss the painting together.
